Joe Shortell

Joe Shortell is an experienced educator and consultant specializing in business communication and talent development. Currently serving as an Instructor of Business Communication at Yeshiva University, Joe develops curriculum and delivers instruction in emotional intelligence, collaboration, business writing, and advanced presentations. As the Founder and Principal of A Talent Toolbox since 2017, Joe consults with organizations on training programs. Previously, Joe held the position of Executive Director of Talent Management and Development at The College Board, where significant improvements in manager quality were achieved over four years. Early career experience includes roles as a presentation skills trainer at The Executive Technique and teaching positions at the NYC Department of Education and Mirrer Yeshiva/Taryag Academy. Joe holds a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Stony Brook University.
