Kelvin Qian began their career in 2018 as a Course Assistant for The Johns Hopkins University, where they graded homework and held office hours for 92 and 106 students for the Spring and Fall Intro Algorithms courses, respectively. Later that year, they took on a Community Manager Intern role at #DECENT. In 2019, they were a Data Engineer Intern at Yet Analytics, Inc., where they wrote two core company libraries in Clojure and implemented JSON-to-Clojure EDN parsing functions, finite state machine code, and human-readable error messages. In 2020, they were the Head Course Assistant for the Fall 2020 Functional Programming in Software Engineering course at The Johns Hopkins University, where they graded homework, held weekly office hours, and adjudicated project demos. Kelvin is currently a Junior Data Engineer at Yet Analytics, Inc., where they have worked on projects such as SQL LRS and ProfileHub.
Kelvin Qian attended Franklin High School from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained their high school diploma. Kelvin then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University from 2016 to 2020. Afterwards, they continued their studies at The Johns Hopkins University and obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science in 2020.
