Shannon Garcia has a diverse work experience in the design industry. They started their career as a Marketing Designer at Rip Curl in 1998 and later worked as a Sr. Designer at Billabong from 2001 to 2007. At Billabong, they were responsible for designing and developing tee/fleece collections and collaborating with the marketing team on various branding materials.

In 2007, Shannon joined Hurley as a Sr. Designer, where they took charge of the design and brand direction for T-shirts and fleece, including graphics, fabrications, and trend forecasting. They also worked on developing tee/fleece lines from start to finish. During their tenure, they showcased their expertise as a designer and art director.

While working at Laguna College of Art and Design as an Adjunct Professor from 2007 to 2019, Shannon imparted their knowledge and experience to students. This role allowed them to contribute to the education and training of aspiring designers.

In 2012, Shannon established their own company, Shannon Garcia Design, where they worked as an Art Director. As a freelance designer, they provided creative services for various clients, including Nike, Disney, Yeti, and many more. They designed graphics, accessories, print, web, and apparel, and collaborated closely with Art Directors and teams to fulfill project requirements. Their versatile skills, professional approach, and ability to handle tight deadlines were valued by their clients.

From 2017 to 2019, Shannon joined Art 4 All by Abby Paffrath as a Graphic, Headwear, & Apparel Designer. During this time, they contributed to the design of graphics, headwear, and apparel.

In 2019, Shannon worked at YETI as a Headwear Designer, and in 2020, they joined Vapor Apparel as an Apparel Designer. These roles allowed them to further expand their experience and contribute to the design of headwear and apparel.

In 2019, Shannon also worked as an Apparel and Accessory Designer at Pelagic Inc., where they showcased their expertise in designing apparel and accessories.

Shannon Garcia completed their education chronologically as follows. From 1991 to 1995, they attended San Clemente High School. Shannon did not earn a degree or specify a field of study during this period. Subsequently, from 1995 to 1999, Shannon attended Laguna College of Art and Design. Shannon obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Graphic Design during their time at this institution. Additionally, they hold a certification in BA Graphic Arts, although the institution and year of completion are not specified.
