Spas Velinov

Spas Velinov has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over multiple sectors. Spas is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Yettel.Bulgaria from June 2020. Before that, they worked at Telenor Bulgaria as the Sourcing and Logistics Director from September 2018 to May 2020. Prior to that, they held various roles at Telenor Bulgaria, including Technology Engineering Director, Planning Director, and Technology Planning Project Manager, starting from April 2014.

Before their time at Telenor Bulgaria, Spas worked at Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile for several years. Spas served as the Network Service Management and Planning Division Manager from January 2009 to March 2014 and as the Network Performance and Quality Department Manager from December 2006 to January 2009. Spas also held positions as the Head of Radio Network Performance Section, Head of Ericsson Radio Access Network Optimization Section, Senior Radio Network Optimization Engineer, and Radio Network Optimization Engineer.

Spas'searlier work experiences include roles as a Radio Network Optimization Engineer at Mobiltel from March 2002 to May 2003, Associate RF Engineer at LCC from March 2001 to March 2002, and Radio Planning Engineer at Radio Telecommunications Company MOBIKOM from February 1999 to February 2001.

Spas Velinov started their career as a Radio Engineer in the TV & FM Transmitters Laboratory at NURTS Bulgaria AD from February 1995 to February 1999.

Spas Velinov earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from The University of Sheffield, from 2014 to 2017. During the same period, they also pursued studies in Strategic Management and Leadership at the Chartered Management Institute. Previously, from 1989 to 1993, Velinov attended Technical University Sofia, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree. In addition to their formal education, Velinov also completed the Telenor Strategy Execution Online Programme from INSEAD, although the specific year of completion is not provided.
