Bart Scheffel

Bart joined YHB with Glass Jacobson where he started as a senior accountant in 1984. His areas of concentration include construction, real estate, hospitality, and wholesale distribution accounting. Bart has extensive experience in the accounting side of government contracting for small businesses. In addition, he has developed and presented internal CPE courses on governmental accounting topics.

Bart’s role with Glass Jacobson included leading the firm’s quality control effort to ensure firm compliance with all professional accounting standards. Under his guidance as the quality control director at Glass Jacobson, the firm received only three unqualified opinions over the past eleven years. Bart has been quoted as a professional source and has authored several articles that have appeared in The Daily Record and the CPA Statement.

In 1994, Bart was instrumental in identifying the need for a construction committee within the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA). Bart is a certified valuation analyst and is a current member of the Association of Builders and Contractors. Bart is also an investment advisor representative.
