Murat Ülker

Murat Ülker was born in 1959. He completed his university education at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration.

Murat Ülker, who started his career in 1982, participated in sector-related training activities abroad at schools such as the American Institute of Baking (AIB) and the Zentralfachschule der Deutschen Süßwarenwirtschaft (ZDS). He did an internship at Continental Baking in the USA, and made inspections at approximately 60 factories and facilities in the USA and Europe for three years, related to the biscuit, chocolate and food sector. He also took part in various International Executive Services Corps (IESC) projects.

Murat Ülker, who started his duty in the group as Control Coordinator in 1984, took on the duties of Assistant General Manager in Charge of Operations and then General Manager in the following years. Having served as a Member of the Executive Committee and a Member of the Board of Directors in various companies of the group, Murat Ülker managed many new investments in this process, depending on the "Vertical Integration" model.

Murat Ülker, who assumed the position of the Chairman of the Executive Board of Yıldız Holding in 2000, continued his work as the Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2008 to 2020. Murat Ülker, who continues to take an active role in the companies affiliated to the holding as a Member of the Board of Directors as of January 29, 2020, is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of pladis and Godiva.

Married with three children, Murat Ülker enjoys traveling and sailing with his family. Murat Ülker's areas of interest include calligraphy and modern painting.
