Eduardo Cerdeira has extensive work experience in the maritime and port industry. Eduardo began their career as a Merchant Navy Officer at Maruba in 1991 and later worked as a Ship Planner at Niver Lines. In 2004, they joined Maruba again as a Vessel Planner & Coordinator, responsible for managing operations and coordinating schedules. From 2007 to 2010, Cerdeira worked at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A. as a Senior Vessel Planner, overseeing shipment planning and coordination. Eduardo then served as the Planning Manager at DP World Buenos Aires - Terminales Rio de la Plata from 2010 to 2012. Cerdeira joined Brasil Terminal Portuario as an Operations Manager in 2012, where they handled organizational planning, implementation, and hiring. In 2014, they became the Director of Sales - South America at Navis, focusing on building relationships with key accounts in Latin America. Cerdeira's most recent role is with YILPORT Holding Inc. Eduardo initially served as the Operations Manager (COO) at Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos from 2018 to 2020. Eduardo then became the Terminal Executive Director at Puerto Bolivar until 2023, and later took on the role of General Manager Handover. Currently, Cerdeira serves as the General Manager/CEO of Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos under YILPORT Holding Inc.
Eduardo Cerdeira has a diverse education history. In 1980-1984, they attended Liceo Naval for high school. From 1987-1990, they studied at Escuela Nacional de Náutica, where they obtained a captain degree and studied astronomy and stability of ships. In 2003, they pursued a Post degree in Logistic at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. In 2016, they acquired negotiation skills at Scotwork Negotiating Skills in São Paulo. From 2018-2019, they focused on Ports Management at Lloyd's Maritime Academy. Additionally, Eduardo has obtained certifications in language proficiency and sales management development.
