Ivan Tan

Ivan Tan, ACA has a diverse work experience in corporate finance and treasury, as well as audit and compliance. Ivan began their career at PwC Malaysia as an Audit Associate, where they gained experience in financial reporting, risk management, and compliance. Ivan then progressed to the role of Senior Associate and later became an Executive Senior (Assistant Manager), supervising multiple teams and engagements.

In 2014, Ivan joined Yinson, where they held various roles and steadily rose through the ranks. Ivan started as an Assistant Manager in Treasury & Corporate Finance, where they were responsible for financial modeling, project viability assessments, and implementing the company's first portfolio interest rate swap. Ivan then became a Manager in Corporate Finance, successfully executing the company's inaugural perpetual bond exercise and presenting financial assessments to management and the Board of Directors.

Ivan's career at Yinson further advanced as they took on the role of Senior Manager in Corporate Finance, where they led due diligence exercises for potential acquisitions and managed the Group's first external divestment exercise. Ivan then became the Head of Unit (Corporate Finance & Investments), overseeing the company's corporate finance activities.

Ivan'smost recent position at Yinson was as the Global Head (Joint) of Corporate Finance & Investments, where they led and executed significant financial transactions, including a rights issuance exercise, a FPSO contract with a unique project financing structure, and project financing for a solar plant in India.

Ivan Tan, ACA has a comprehensive education history. Ivan obtained their Executive MBA degree from the London Business School during the period of 2023 to 2025. Prior to that, they earned a degree in Accounting and Finance from the ICAEW in 2010 to 2013. Furthermore, Ivan completed a Chinese Language & Cultural Program at Guangxi University in 2014. For their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting and Finance at the University of the West of England from 2007 to 2009, and prior to that, at Kolej Universiti HELP from 2005 to 2007.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ivan has attained certifications in Leadership Stories: 5-Minute Lessons in Leading People from LinkedIn in 2021 and the ACA certification from the ICAEW in 2014.
