Markus Pietikäinen

Markus Pietikäinen has extensive experience in various roles within finance, investment, and leadership. Markus started their career at JPMorgan Securities Ltd, where they held roles as an Associate in Research and M&A. Markus then moved on to Wärtsilä, where they held positions such as Group Controller, Director of Corporate Development, Vice President of Development & Financial Services, Vice President of Group Treasury, and Financial Services, and Vice President of Power Plants in the Americas. Subsequently, they became the Chief Investment Officer at Finnfund, a leading impact investor in Finland, before transitioning to YIT as Senior Vice President of Treasury and M&A. Additionally, they served on the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Finnfund and as a Member of the Board of Directors at NOKSEL Çelik Boru San. A.ş.

Markus Pietikäinen completed their MSc in Economics with a focus on Finance at Hanken School of Economics from 1995 to 2000. Markus pursued further education in organizational leadership, completing programs in High Performance Leadership at IMD in 2021, Leading Change at IMD in 2015, and Orchestrating Winning Performance at IMD in 2013.
