Srinath Kuruvadi

Srinath Kuruvadi is the Head of Cloud Security at Netflix, where he leads the security of all the Netflix assets in the public clouds, including strategies for access and configuration management, architecture, compliance and detection & response.

With over 17 years of experience, Srinath is a senior information security leader with an established track record in delivering impactful and high quality risk reducing work by leveraging deep technical knowledge in security and privacy with software engineering approaches to securing large scale cloud environments.

Prior to Netflix, Srinath served as Head of Security Engineering at Lyft, where he led the implementation of customized engineering focused tools to secure production environments and user data in the cloud supporting functions like identity & access management, detection & response and containers & CI/CD security. Previously, he served as Head of Data Security at Snap Inc., Tech Lead and Staff Security Engineer for Security at Facebook, and Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Google.

He currently serves as an AWS Technical Community Member and advisor/investor for cybersecurity startups like Grip Security, CertifID, Bridgecrew, Symmetry Systems, Lightspin, Axiom Security, and Oxeye.

Srinath was born and raised in Bangalore, India and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India and Master of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University.
