Janne Hesso is a specialist in nature conservation at the Ministry of the Environment of Finland since January 2020, focusing on the implementation of nature conservation programs and the management of state-acquired properties for conservation purposes. Prior to this role, Janne worked as a land use planner for the City of Jyväskylä and the City of Lieksa, developing local plans for residential and conservation areas. Janne's experience also includes engaging public participation in urban nature restoration projects in Espoo, as well as conducting invasive species assessments and environmental impact studies. Janne holds a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Jyväskylä.
