Lizeth Escobedo

Lizeth Escobedo has extensive work experience in various roles within the YMCA organization. Lizeth started in 2012 as an ECE at YMCA Robert Lee and later became a Team Lead in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as a Supervisor of the Family Development Centre at YMCA Robert Lee. During their time at the Robert Lee YMCA, they served as the Manager of the Family Development Centre from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, they joined YMCA BC as the Manager of Adult Training and Newcomer Services. Since February 2023, Lizeth has been working as the Director of Newcomer Services, Youth, and Community Wellness at YMCA BC. Additionally, they have also worked as a private Spanish and French tutor independently from 2007 to 2020. Lizeth's work experience shows their dedication to supporting families, youth, and newcomers to the community.

Lizeth Escobedo has a diverse education history. Lizeth obtained a Business and Technical Writing Certificate from Vancouver Community College (VCC) in 2012-2013. Prior to that, they pursued Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the Burnaby School District between 2008 and 2010. Lizeth also participated in the International Experience Program in Business Administration Studies at Boston University in 2005 and completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2001-2005. Additionally, they obtained a degree in Business from Alliance Française in 1999-2005 and attended an International Experience Program in Business Administration and Management at Harvard Business School and Pine Manor College in 2004. Lizeth has also acquired various certifications from LinkedIn, including training in self-awareness, authenticity, leadership, speaking confidently, collaborative leadership, and enhancing productivity.
