Roberta Haas CPHR has a strong background in human resources and has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Roberta is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer at YMCA BC, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Human Resources Officer and VP, People at YMCA of Greater Vancouver starting in 2016. Before joining the YMCA, Roberta was the Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Services at Family Services of Greater Vancouver from 2007 to 2016. Roberta also worked as the Human Resources Director at the City of Coquitlam from 1998 to 2007 and as the Director of Human Resources at Vancouver Public Library from 1991 to 1998. Overall, Roberta Haas CPHR has extensive experience in the field and a proven track record in effectively managing human resources and supporting organizational growth and development.

Roberta Haas, CPHR, has a diverse education history. Roberta obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English from Western University, graduating in 1986. Roberta then pursued a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Springfield College, completing their studies in 2022. Prior to their studies at Western University, Roberta was enrolled in English Literature at Wilfrid Laurier University, though their completion status is unknown. In addition to their academic achievements, Roberta holds several certifications, including being a member of CPHR BC & Yukon since 1991 and obtaining the title of Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) from the Human Resources Management Association (HRMA) in 2002. Roberta also obtained certification from the Governance Professionals of Canada in 2019.
