Whit Whitaker (He

Whit Whitaker serves as the President of the Lexington-Fayette NAACP since December 2021, after previously holding the position of Vice President within the organization. Moreover, Whit has been a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer at the YMCA of Central Kentucky since July 1996, focusing on group exercise supervision and protocol development. Additional experience includes serving as Executive Director at The Lyric Theatre and Cultural Arts Center from August 2019 to January 2023, Choral Business Manager for Lexington Singers Inc., and various administrative roles in arts organizations. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Arts Administration and a Bachelor of Music in Voice and Opera, both from the University of Kentucky. Prior military service includes a tenure as a Reserve Officer in the United States Army Reserve.
