Ryan Woodruff

Ryan Woodruff is an accomplished swimming coach and director with over 18 years of experience in competitive aquatics. Currently serving as Head Swim Coach and Director of Competitive Aquatics at YMCA of Central Virginia since August 2015, Ryan previously held the position of Head Swimming Coach at Parkland Area Aquatic Club from 2011 to 2015. Ryan has a strong financial background as a former Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and has contributed to swimming technique analysis as an Internet Video Swimming Technique Consultant. Earlier coaching roles include Head Swimming Coach at North Carolina Aquatic Club, where Ryan led the team to its first state title, and Gator Swim Club, where successful programs were developed. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Biomechanics and a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, both from the University of Florida.
