Executive VP COO at YMCA of Greater Boston

Craig Heinrichs has extensive experience in executive leadership roles within the YMCA organization. Craig served as the Executive VP/COO at the YMCA of Greater Boston from 2014 to present, overseeing 16 branches and managing responsibilities such as strategic planning, membership, marketing, facilities, and information technology. Craig also held the position of Executive VP/COO at the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis from 2006 to 2014.

Prior to that, they served as the Sr. Vice President of Operations at the YMCA of Metropolitan Hartford from 2000 to 2006, where they directed ten branches and managed a combined budget of $25.7 million.

Craig's experience also includes being the Sr. Executive Director at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago from 1997 to 2000, where they administered the largest non-resident YMCA in the country and worked with a strong community leadership board.

Before that, they were the CEO of the Lancaster YMCA from 1994 to 1997, where they oversaw an 80,000 square foot facility and a 120-acre resident camp, managing a budget of $1,400,000 and working closely with a dedicated board of directors focused on fundraising and community involvement.

Craig Heinrichs attended Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where they pursued a BS in Health and PE with a focus on Business Administration and Exercise Physiology. Craig continued their education at Springfield College, earning an MS in Human Services specializing in Leadership and Organizational Management.
