Deanna Renaud has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Deanna began their career as a Visitor Services/Public Relations Assistant at the Erie Zoological Society Office in 1996 and worked there until 2002. From 2001 to 2003, they held the role of Sales Coordinator at Regent Broadcasting, where they supported the sales team and assisted with various promotional activities. In 2001, they also worked as a Temporary Paginator and Contributing Writer at the Erie Times-News, where they were responsible for designing and laying out newspaper sections and contributed articles to the Showcase section.
Deanna's experience in the media industry continued at the Public Opinion newspaper, where they worked as a Features Editor from 2003 to 2005. In this role, they managed the transformation of the Features section and developed a monthly Faith supplement. Deanna also oversaw the staff, content, and layout of various newspaper supplements.
In 2005, Deanna joined the Community Blood Bank as a Mobile Drive Coordinator, where they networked with local leaders, developed blood drive opportunities, and managed approximately 50 blood drives per month. Throughout their tenure at the Community Blood Bank, they held various roles, including Head Recruiter, Manager of Donor Recruitment, Interim Executive Director, and ultimately, Executive Director. In these positions, they demonstrated leadership in a highly-regulated nonprofit environment, engaged with hospital and community leaders to ensure blood needs were met, and provided oversight to numerous departments, including Human Resources, Finance, Recruitment, Marketing, Laboratory, Collections, IT, and Quality Assurance.
Following their time at the Community Blood Bank, Deanna worked for UPMC as a Communications Specialist from 2021 to 2022, where they utilized their expertise in communication to support the organization's objectives. In 2022, they joined the Special Olympics Pennsylvania as a Regional Executive Director, overseeing the organization's operations in a specific region.
Deanna's most recent work experience is as the Vice President of Marketing & Financial Development for the YMCA of Greater Erie, a role they assumed in 2023. In this position, they are responsible for leading marketing and financial development initiatives for the organization.

Deanna Renaud obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications & Media Studies from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College from 1997 to 2001.
