Executive Director Of Teen Leadership Initiatives at YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City

Tara O'Connell has extensive work experience in various roles within the YMCA. Tara began their career in 2000 as a Day Camp Counselor at the Ardmore Family YMCA and later worked as a C.I.T. Assistant Counselor and Camp Counselor at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas from 2005 to 2006. Tara then joined the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City in 2011, starting as a Camp Coordinator and Lifeguard before progressing to roles such as Sports Director, Program Director of Sports and Youth & Family, District Youth & Family Director, District Associate Executive Director, and Program Director of Teen Leadership Initiatives. Most recently, they are currently serving as the Associate Executive Director of Teen Initiatives at the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City.

Tara O'Connell earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology from Oklahoma State University, where they attended from 2002 to 2008.
