Janie Romoff

Janie Romoff is currently the Chief Operating Officer at the YMCA of Greater Toronto, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Janie served as the General Manager for Parks, Forestry and Recreation at the City of Toronto from October 2014 to September 2023 and held various leadership positions within the City of Toronto from 2010 to 2014, including Director of Community Recreation. Janie's earlier career includes significant roles in the Ontario Public Service from 2006 to 2010, focusing on strategic initiatives and sports and recreation, as well as positions in municipal recreation management at the City of London, Canada, and City of Burnaby. Janie's career in community recreation began at the City of Vaughan, where a supervisory role was held from 1990 to 1999. Janie Romoff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Toronto.
