Alley (Pickren) Staples has a diverse work experience, primarily in the non-profit sector. Alley is currently working at the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta as the Director of Partnerships & Advocacy. Prior to this role, they held the position of Strategic Planning & Partnerships Manager at the same organization.
Before joining the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta, Alley worked at the YMCA of Middle Tennessee, where they served as the Director of Healthy Youth and Families, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Food Program across multiple afterschool sites. Alley also worked as a Youth Obesity Prevention Specialist, managing a pilot program that aimed to provide fresh and healthy meals to children.

Alley (Pickren) Staples obtained a BA in Journalism with a focus on Public Relations from The University of Georgia in 2006. In 2012, they earned an M.Ed in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University.
