Ian Troop

Ian Troop is the current Chair at YMCA of Oakville and has an extensive background in leading large-scale projects. Ian was the CEO of Toronto 2015 Pan American Games Host Corporation, which was responsible for delivering the largest multi sport Games in Canada. Under their leadership, the Games were a huge success both financially and in terms of community engagement.

Troop has a proven track record in successfully delivering complex projects on time and on budget. Ian is a strategic thinker who is able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Ian is a passionate advocate for the power of sport to transform communities and create lasting legacies.

Troop's educational background includes a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University in Marketing/Finance and an ICD.D accreditation from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management in DIRECTOR EDUCATION PROGRAM.
