Juzar Pirbhai

Juzar Pirbhai is a board member at YMCA of Oakville and a former vice president of investments at InstarAGF Asset Management Inc. Juzar has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry, with a focus on long-term, inflation-indexed assets.

Pirbhai was instrumental in the purchase of the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (BBTCA) passenger terminal from Porter Airlines. As chief operating officer of BBTCA terminal operator, Nieuport Aviation Infrastructure Partners, they developed a world-class operating team and collaborated with regulator, suppliers and service providers to deliver outstanding efficiency and service. Under their leadership, the airport consistently ranked in the top 10 global airports in its passenger category.

Pirbhai also supplied equity funding to enable Steel Reef Infrastructure Corporation, a Canadian midstream energy service provider, to maximize the value of its assets through organic growth and targeted acquisitions.

Juzar Pirbhai attended McGill University for their Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Juzar is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Juzar has a Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from Concordia University and has completed the Ivey Leadership Program at the Ivey Business School at Western University. Juzar has also completed the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Small and Medium-Sized Board Effectiveness Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
