Laura Peterson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Laura began their career as an Associate at J.P. Morgan in 1989, where they worked for six years. Laura then transitioned into the fitness industry, working as a Group Fitness Instructor at various establishments such as Southwest YMCA, Kaiser Permanente, Total Woman Gym + Spa, and Los Gatos Swim & Racquet Club. In 2015, they joined the YMCA of Silicon Valley as the Group Exercise Director and progressively took on more responsibilities, including serving as the Associate Executive Director and Director of Virtual Programming. Currently, Laura holds the position of Community Health Director at the YMCA of Silicon Valley.
Laura Peterson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management/Marketing from the Boston College Carroll School of Management in 1989. Laura then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance/Econometrics from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, which they completed in 1998. In addition to their academic achievements, Laura has obtained multiple fitness instructor certifications, including CXWORX, Glitz Dance Instructor, LaBlast Fitness Instructor, BODYFLOW, BollyX Instructor, BODYPUMP Instructor, Zumba Instructor, Group Exercise Instructor, and AFAA Group Exercise Instructor.
