Jay Anderson is a board member at the YMCA of South Florida and a former substitute teacher at Broward County Public Schools. Jay has also worked as an assistant site supervisor for special needs at the YMCA of Broward County. In this role, they were responsible for assisting the site supervisor with day-to-day responsibilities, activity planning, and collecting and maintaining accurate family accounts. Jay was also responsible for monitoring staff-to-child ratios, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring that the program was operated in a safe and purposeful manner.
Jay Anderson has a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience & Behavior from Florida Atlantic University. They also have an Associate's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Broward College. They are certified by the American Safety and Health Institute in Bloodborne Pathigens, the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association in CPR and First aid, the Division of Cultural Outreach Department in Anti-Bullying, the Florida Department of Children and Families in Behavioral Observation and Screening (BOAS), and Redwoods Institute in Bloodborne Pathogens and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention.
