Sarah Dauer

Sarah Dauer is currently a board member at the YMCA of Southwestern Indiana. Prior to that, they were the assistant vice president and in-house counsel for Shoe Carnival from February 2010 to January 2018. Before that, Sarah was a legal intern for Cindy Carroll, barrister-at-law, in Dublin, Ireland from June 2008 to August 2008. Sarah also worked as a student attorney for the Boesche Legal Clinic from January 2008 to December 2009, where they represented small businesses in transactional needs by drafting corporate formation documents, assisting nonprofit organizations with tax-exempt applications and maintenance of tax-exempt status, drafting and negotiating contracts, employee handbooks and real estate transactions, and ensured local government agency compliance with Small Business Administration and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development sub-lease requirements. Sarah is also a captain in the United States Air Force, where they served from June 2003 to July 2006.

Sarah Dauer attended the University of Kentucky, where they earned a B.A. in Foreign Language (French) & International Economics. Sarah then went on to study at the University of Tulsa College of Law, where they earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.). Sarah is also certified as a Licensed Attorney in the State of Indiana and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
