YMCA Youth and Government
Maddie Gill is a dedicated individual with extensive experience in youth advocacy and leadership. Currently serving as a Retail Cashier at Michaels Stores since June 2024, Maddie also plays a significant role at the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, holding positions as a Youth Advisory Member of the Board of Managers and Chief Of Staff. As a YMCA USA National Youth Advocate since October 2021, Maddie represents California at the Conference on National Affairs as one of 25 selected delegates. Additional involvement includes serving as a Delegate and Secretariat for NorCal YMCA Youth & Government and leadership roles at York School, including Executive Student Council President. Maddie's commitment to civic engagement is further demonstrated through roles in New Voters and Students Against Voter Suppression, among others. Maddie is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at Bard College, having previously attended York School and San Benancio Middle School.

YMCA Youth and Government
YMCA Youth and Government™ is a nationwide civic engagement and leadership development program that provides students in middle school, high school, and college with the opportunity to represent and serve their communities through model government, leadership and professional development, advocacy, and service-learning. Youth and Government collectively serves over 55,000 students across all 50 states and DC. Students can participate through a Youth and Government student organization at their school and/or through their local YMCA. These school-based or YMCA-based groups are led by student officers, and advised by school faculty, community volunteers, and/or YMCA staff.
