Samad Gillani

Samad Gillani serves as President of the University of Alabama Student Government Association, where responsibilities include proposing policies on student issues and serving as a liaison to various organizations. Additional roles within the SGA include Vice President for External Affairs and Deputy Chief of Staff, where logistics and program management are emphasized. Experience also encompasses a position as a Line Cook at Taco Mama and College Staff for YMCA Youth and Government, aiding in the organization of youth programs. Prior to these roles, Samad worked with the Alabama Merchants Association coordinating logistics for member stores and served as Chief Justice for Alabama Youth In Government. Samad is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Finance at the University of Alabama, expected to graduate in May 2025, and previously earned a high school diploma from Spain Park High School.
