Allen Polak has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Allen started their career in 2010 as a Software Developer at Terumo Cardiovascular Systems, where they designed and implemented a real-time testing tool for a Heart Lung machine. Allen then worked at Systems In Motion as a Software Developer for a brief period before joining GE Transportation as a Software Engineer. At GE Transportation, they implemented cross-stack features and solved complex algorithm issues for Yard Planner, a software still in use today.
In 2016, Allen joined Call Sumo as a Full Stack Lead, where they designed and delivered the initial release of the company's suite of microservices. Allen also guided the team and ensured the successful use of Call Sumo's products by dentists and receptionists.
Following their tenure at Call Sumo, Allen joined Ford Motor Company in 2017 as a Full Stack Staff Engineer. Allen took on the role of the Technical Lead for Vehicle Data Hub, overseeing the transformation and delivery of vehicle data to customers. Allen also served as a technical consultant for other teams within the company.
In 2018, Allen joined Google as an L4 Software Engineer, where they focused on creating and optimizing a test platform for Google Payments platform. Allen'swork aimed to increase testing reliability and address long-standing flakiness issues.
Currently, Allen is employed at Yobi, where they hold the position of Senior Full Stack Engineer / ML Consultant. Allen'sresponsibilities include developing models for natural language processing to answer business questions and providing advisory services.
Allen Polak attended the University of Michigan-Dearborn from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
