Anthony Tan

Anthony is a seasoned international risk executive who joined Yoma Bank as Chief Risk Officer in June 2020. Anthony brings proven track record embedding strategic risk management and exceptional technical capability in Commercial Banking franchises across Asia.

Prior to joining Yoma Bank Anthony had over 17 years of experience working with ANZ, a leading Australian Bank with significant network in Asia, Pacific and International financial centres. Most recently Anthony was ANZ’s Credit Executive covering all of Asia for Corporate and Institutional customers in specialized industries. Scope included accountability for complex credits such as project finance, leveraged acquisition finance, export finance and asset finance.

Prior to this Anthony was Chief Risk Officer of ANZ’s Philippines franchise and led enterprise-wide second line risk teams overseeing risk culture, governance, credit risk, market risk, operational risk and compliance for this market.

In addition Anthony has held senior risk positions in several markets including Australia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia. Key assignments and projects in these markets have included M&A due diligence on target banks, integration of acquired businesses, launching consumer finance risk management in new markets and leading country Basel implementation programs.
