Derek Traver

Derek Traver has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Derek currently works at York & Chapel as the VR Development Team Lead. In this role, they are responsible for leading the development team in virtual reality projects.

Prior to their current position, Derek worked at ENX2 Marketing as the Lead Web Developer. Derek was in charge of web development projects and ensured their successful completion.

From 2015 to 2019, Derek served as a Senior Web Developer at York & Chapel. Derek played a key role in delivering and optimizing web and mobile applications for various clients, including well-known multinational corporations. Additionally, they contributed to the creation of an award-winning Angular-based web component and developed video games using C# and Unity.

Before joining York & Chapel, Derek worked as the Coordinator of Web Design and Digital Media at Allied Services from 2010 to 2015. Derek was solely responsible for designing and launching a new company website, implementing the latest web technologies and design principles.

Prior to that, Derek gained experience as a Web Developer at Pepperjam, where they designed and implemented front-end interfaces for company and affiliate network websites. Derek also collaborated with the development team to ensure smooth integration.

Derek's earliest work experience was as a Web Administrator at Great Valley Technology Alliance in 2006.

Overall, Derek Traver has developed a strong skill set in web development, VR, and game development, and has successfully contributed to numerous projects throughout their career.

Derek Traver attended Penn State University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology. Additionally, during the same period, they also attended Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Wilkes-Barre and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Technology, specializing in Information Sciences and Technology.
