Michelle Johansen

Michelle Johansen has been serving as an Assistant Principal and Assessment and Compliance Coordinator at York County School Division since August 2019. Prior to this role, Michelle worked as a Secondary Educator at Newport News Public Schools from August 2012 to August 2019, following a brief stint as a Student Teacher in early 2012. Additionally, Michelle contributed to WJCC Public Schools as an AVID Coach from September to December 2011. Michelle holds a Post Masters Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Christopher Newport University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the same institution.
