Asif Abbas

Asif Abbas is an experienced Planner at York Region (The Regional Municipality of York) since October 2014, where responsibilities include reviewing and processing Official Plan Amendments, Draft plans of Subdivision, and Condominium applications, alongside consolidating Regional comments for draft plan approval and responding to development inquiries. Previously held the position of Associate Planner, with duties focused on development application review and management of regional comments. Prior to joining York Region, Asif worked as a Billing Coordinator at Telecon, overseeing invoicing and project tracking, and as a Project Coordinator at Prestige Telecom, handling aerial cable design projects. Asif began the professional journey as an AutoCAD tutor at Humber College. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University and a Diploma in Architectural Technology/Technician from Humber College.
