Julie Casaert

Julie Casaert is an experienced leader in senior services, currently serving as the Director of Seniors Services at York Region since July 2017. Julie has held various roles within this organization, including Acting Administrator and Program Manager for Community Programs & Partnerships. Prior to this, Julie managed Adult Day Programs at CHATS and held several positions focused on therapeutic recreation and community relations at Specialty Care, Leisureworld Caregiving Centre, River Glen Haven, and Chateau Gardens. Julie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation and Leisure from Brock University, along with multiple certifications in recreation leadership, dementia care, occupational health and safety, and mental health leadership, underscoring a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
