Laura Purves

Laura Purves is a seasoned professional in information governance and records management, currently serving as the Manager of Information Governance for York Region since April 2016. Earlier roles at York Region include Acting Supervisor for Policy & Planning in Information Asset Management and Business Analyst. Prior to this, Laura was a Program Manager for records management at The Corporation of The Town of Aurora and worked in various capacities at York Region and LP Consulting, focusing on enterprise content management and knowledge management consulting. Laura's experience also includes serving as an Information Specialist at the College of Nurses of Ontario. Laura holds a Master of Information Studies from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from Queen's University.
