Michael Kitagawa

Michael Kitagawa, CHRL, is an experienced HR professional with a diverse background in human resources across various industries. Since February 2008, Michael has served as an HR Consultant at York Region, providing consultation on a range of HR issues and guiding recruitment processes. Prior experience includes an HR Business Partner role at the City of Vaughan, where Michael supported several departments and contributed to the establishment of an effective HR Partner resource. Previous positions held include HR Manager at Hockley Highlands Inn & Conference Centre and Manager of People Resources at Delta Hotels. Michael's educational credentials include a Queen's Certificate in Labour Relations from Queen's University, a certificate in Human Resources Management from Seneca College with high honors, and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Ryerson University. Membership in HRPA York Region Chapter since 1997 further reflects Michael's commitment to the human resources field.
