Richard Atkinson

Richard Atkinson, P.Eng. is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in water and wastewater infrastructure management. Currently serving as Project Manager for Linear Infrastructure Management at York Region since October 2021, Richard oversees project planning and execution within condition assessment programs. Previous roles include Project Manager at IBI Group, where responsibilities encompassed managing pipeline condition assessment projects, and Project Coordinator at Cole Engineering Group, focusing on pipeline rehabilitation and risk assessment frameworks. Richard's early career involved significant contributions at the National Water Commission in Jamaica, improving hydraulic network management and water supply reliability. An alumnus of McGill University with a Master of Science in Bioresource Engineering, and the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, Richard combines technical expertise with a solid academic foundation.
