Sandy Critchley is a seasoned professional in health care leadership with extensive experience in quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management. Currently serving as a Faculty member at HealthCareCAN - SoinsSantéCAN since December 2022, Sandy collaborates with staff to enhance learner outcomes in the Canadian Patient Safety Program. As Program Manager for Continuous Quality Improvement and Compliance at York Region since January 2022, responsibilities include developing and evaluating quality improvement programs for Paramedic and Seniors Services. Previous roles include Director of Quality, Patient Safety, and Risk Management at Headwaters Health Care Centre, where strategic initiatives across various departments were led, and Director of Patient Safety, Quality & Risk Management at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, where patient safety culture was embedded within the organization. Sandy holds a Master of Health Studies in Leadership from Athabasca University, an Advanced Health Leadership Program certificate from the University of Toronto, and degrees in Kinesiology and Physical Therapy from Western University.
