Tara Benoit

Tara Benoit has extensive experience in public service, currently serving as the Head of Policy, Communications, Liaison in the Commissioner’s Office for Public Works at York Region since May 2017. Previous roles at York Region include Program Manager for Strategic and Operational Issues, and various positions in the Transportation Services sector. Prior to this, Tara held the role of HR Planning & Projects Coordinator at the Cabinet Office and served as Business Services Coordinator at the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General. Tara's earlier experience includes significant positions at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, and the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, where roles ranged from Licensing and Customer Services Manager to Policy Analyst. Tara holds a Master of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Political Science, both from the University of Guelph.
