Janet Foster

Janet Foster has extensive experience in student services and disability management, currently serving as the Manager of Student Life at Yorkville University since January 2023. Prior to this role, Janet spent several years at George Brown College, where positions included Acting Accessible Learning Services Manager and Manager of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services. In these roles, Janet provided leadership to ensure high-quality support for over 3,500 students with disabilities, overseeing a wide array of services such as American Sign Language Interpretation and tutoring. Janet's career at George Brown College also included managing Counselling and Disability Services, with responsibilities in staffing and performance management. Earlier roles included management at Medix School and teaching at Peel Adult Learning Centre. Janet holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from McMaster University.
