Ricardo Magana-Villalba

Ricardo Magana-Villalba is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in data science and software engineering. Currently serving as CTO and Head of Data Science at yotepresto.com since February 2019, Ricardo has previously held positions at Wizeline as a Senior Data Scientist/Engineer and at Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Software Engineer. Ricardo's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Physics from Cinvestav, IPN, along with a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Physics from the same institution and the Autonomous University of Puebla, respectively. Notably, Ricardo has contributed to the field as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Santa Barbara and as an Invited Scientist at Fermilab, where expertise in the Central Tracking Trigger sub-detector was demonstrated through significant involvement in data acquisition systems. Additionally, early career experience includes software development and server administration at Centro de Tecnología Educativa de la BUAP.
