Ian Burden

Ian Burden has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Ian began their career as a Panel Beater at Swains Motor Body Repairs and later worked as an Assessing Supervisor at AAMI Car Insurance. Ian then joined Innovation Group as a Senior Assessor, where they managed relationships and assessed claims in the Greater Brisbane market. Ian further advanced their career at Wesfarmers Federation Insurance, holding various roles such as QLD/NSW Claims Supervisor. At Auto and General Insurance, Ian held several positions including National Manager - Quality Assurance, National Manager - Technical Training and Development, and National Assessing Manager. Ian later joined MYI Freemans Limited as National Technical and Compliance Manager before becoming General Manager - Motor. Most recently, Ian worked at Youi Insurance as National Procurement Manager and is currently serving as Head of Motor Procurement.

Ian Burden studied General Insurance at the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance from 1997 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Tradesman Mechanical Engineering at the Ithaca College of TAFE between 1985 and 1988. Ian also obtained a certification of (Snr. Assoc) from the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance in 2003.
