As a native of Bayview Hunters Point, Mr. Moret has spent the last 20 years providing youth development and case management services for Black and Samoan youth living in predominantly low-income housing communities. At the age of eighteen, Mr. Moret began his journey working alongside mentors offering guidance on best ways to serve the community and advocate for the voiceless.
Mr. Moret holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University, which in part was due to the injustice he saw occurring as a youth in BayView Hunters Point. In his continued pursuit to support underserved populations Mr. Moret earned his Masters in Education with an emphasis in Equity and Social Justice from San Francisco State University. Mr. Moret is currently focused on finding new ways to address issues youth experience living traumatic environments through the Phoenix Project Collaborative.
