Paul van Koppen has extensive experience in water management and consultancy, holding key positions across various organizations since 1990. Currently serving as Programme Management Support and Team Coach at Unie van Waterschappen since March 2019, Paul supports the Blue Deal Programme and coaches partnership teams. As a Coach and Trainer for the Young Expert Programme Water & Agrofood, Paul facilitates the development of young professionals in international water and agricultural sectors. Paul has been a Senior Consultant and Manager at kopconsult since 2007 and has advised the Netherlands Water Partnership as a Special Adviser International since 2008, with notable roles including manager of the WASH secretariat and coordinator for South Africa and Indonesia. Previous leadership roles include Director at IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre and various positions at Royal Haskoning and Iwaco. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from the University of Bradford, along with training in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Coaching.
