Stacy C Hollander has extensive work experience in the field of art curation and writing. From 1985 to the present, they have worked at the American Folk Art Museum, where they held various roles including Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs, Chief Curator, Director of Exhibitions, and Acting Executive Director. Since 2019, they have been self-employed as an independent curator and writer.

Stacy C Hollander obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in English, art history, and studio art from Barnard College between 1971 and 1975. Stacy C then pursued further education at New York University, where they completed their Master of Arts degree in American Folk Art Studies from 1984 to 1986.
