Robert D'Alessio has a diverse and extensive work experience in airport operations and ground handling. Robert started their career as an Area Manager at Virgin Australia and worked their way up to become the Head of Sydney Airport Operations. In this role, they focused on improving performance and reliability at Sydney Airport, which was a critical hub for the airline. Robert then transitioned to a broader role as the Manager of Airport Services, where they led the transformation of the airline's ground handling activities and implemented various improvement projects. After their time at Virgin Australia, D'Alessio joined Aerocare Flight Support as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for strategically leading all operating activities and scaling up the business. Aerocare was later acquired by Swissport, and D'Alessio was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Swissport's Pacific Division, where they led the company's business activities in the region. Currently, they are working as the Chief Community Officer at Young Guns Container Crew.

Robert D'Alessio obtained a Bachelor's degree in Science from The University of Queensland in the years 1997 to 1999. Robert then pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration from the same university from 2003 to 2011. In 2007, they also participated in an Executive Education program focused on Negotiation and Decision Making at The University of Queensland. Additionally, in 2012, Robert attended a program called "Leading for Organizational Impact: The Looking Glass Experience" at the Center for Creative Leadership. In 2017, they completed a Masterclass in creating high-performance cultures at Elkiem, specializing in Business Administration and Management, General.
