Monica Murphy

Monica Murphy, SHRM-CP, has worked in various roles throughout their career. Monica is currently the SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at the YMCA of Snohomish County, where they oversee talent management and HR policies. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Human Resources, also at the YMCA of Snohomish County. Monica has also worked as a Human Resources and Business Operations Consultant at Connecting the Dots, LLC, and as an Executive Assistant & Human Resources professional at Infinity Ridge Properties. Monica has extensive experience in managing HR functions and implementing policies and procedures. Earlier in their career, Monica held positions such as Senior Director of Operations & HR at ion+Radarworks Integrated Marketing and Owner of Connecting the Dots, Business/Marketing Solutions. Monica has also held roles at Bothell Pediatric & Hand Therapy, Radarworks, Martingale & Company / That Patchwork Place, Inc., and The Herald. Monica is highly skilled in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, talent management, and strategic planning.

Monica Murphy, SHRM-CP, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Washington from 1987 to 1991. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications in the field of Human Resources. Monica earned their Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute in January 2014. Furthermore, in December 2015, they obtained their SHRM-CP certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).
