Anssi Klapuri

CTO at Yousician

Anssi Klapuri is the Chief Technical Officer at Yousician, a company that provides interactive music education. Anssi was previously a lecturer in sound and music processing at the Centre for Digital Music at Queen Mary University of London from December 2009 to August 2011. Prior to that, they were the co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Wavesum from January 2008 to December 2011. Anssi has also been a professor at Tampere University of Technology from January 2006 to December 2009. Anssi started their career as a trainee at Nokia Mobile Phones from January 1996 to August 1996, and then again from May 1994 to December 1994. During their time at Nokia, they worked on the very first smart phone, the Nokia Communicator N9000, which was awarded the Best of CeBIT 1996 when it was launched.

Anssi Klapuri is a Finnish academic who specializes in information technology. Anssi received their PhD from Tampere University of Technology in 1965 and has been teaching at the school ever since.
