Juha Männikkö

Juha Männikkö has extensive work experience in the software development field. Juha is currently employed at Yousician as a Software Engineering Team Lead, where they lead a team of engineers in building the GuitarTuna tuner application. Juha collaborates with various teams to create value for millions of monthly users through data-driven experiments.

Prior to their current role, Juha worked at Futurice as a Tech Principal and Tech Director. As a Tech Principal, they were responsible for tech choices and team management in the public sector and healthcare projects. Juha also served as an Agile coach and supervisor for software engineers and architects. In their role as a Tech Director, they focused on growth and led a tribe in the Helsinki office, overseeing tech choices and competence development.

Juha also gained experience at Elisa Appelsiini, where they held several positions including Director of Operations and Director of Software Development. In these roles, they led development teams, improved processes, and delivered software solutions to business customers. Juha also served as a Business Manager, responsible for sales, design, and delivery of enterprise systems.

Before joining Elisa Appelsiini, Juha worked at Jutel Oy as a Software Developer and at Ardites as a Software Developer, specializing in Symbian development and navigation software for mobile devices.

Juha Männikkö obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Oulu between 2001 and 2007. In 2015-2016, Juha attended the Management Institute of Finland and earned a Specialist Qualification in Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership. Juha has obtained various certifications, including Azure AI Fundamentals and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft, Certified SAFe 5 Program Consultant and Certified SAFe® 4 Program Consultant from Scaled Agile, Inc., and Professional Scrum Master I and Professional Scrum Product Owner from Scrum.org. Additionally, Juha holds the Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer: Web Applications certification.
