Director Of Continuous Quality Improvement at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc.

Michelle Heim has extensive work experience in the field of autism training and support. Michelle started their career in 2005 as a Behavior Specialist and Mobile Therapist at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. Michelle then worked their way up to the role of Autism Trainer and Field Support Coordinator, holding this position from 2006 to 2009. Michelle re-joined the company in 2017 as a Lead Autism Trainer and Field Support Coordinator before being promoted to the position of Regional Quality Manager in 2017. Michelle currently holds the position of Director of Quality Improvement at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. In addition to their work at Youth Advocate Programs, Inc., Michelle also worked as an Autism Trainer at Community Services Group from 2010 to 2015.

Michelle Heim holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counseling Psychology specializing in Marital and Family Therapy from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained from 2002 to 2005. Michelle also has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology and Paralegal Studies from the same university, completed between 1997 and 2001. Currently, Michelle is pursuing a School Counseling Pre-K Certification at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, starting in 2023. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including being a Certified Investigator Peer Review from the Office of Developmental Programs in 2017, a Licensed Behavior Specialist certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine in December 2016, a Discovery certification from Marc Gold & Associates in 2016, a Communication Mentor certification from Networks for Training and Development, Inc. in 2010, and a Quality Management Certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Developmental Programs in December 2019.
