Youth For Understanding USA (YFU)
Janice Kato M. Ed. serves as a Local Coordinator for Youth For Understanding USA, where responsibilities include supporting international students and host families. Concurrently, Janice holds the position of Kindergarten Teacher at BIRCH RUN AREA SCHOOLS, focusing on inspiring young learners and continually improving teaching practices. Additional roles include serving as an International STEM Trainer with STEM Revolution since April 2019, and serving various educational institutions, including Hemlock Public School District as a District Instructional Technology Coach, Saginaw ISD as an Instructional Technology Coach, and Freeland Community Schools as an Elementary Professional Learning Coach. Janice's experience extends to a teaching role at Saginaw Preparatory Academy, having taught multiple grades. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University.
